In November 2017 Peter Frederiksen, 65, was convicted of 36 offences, including conspiracy to murder, rape of a minor and the production and possession of child pornography.
He successfully had his sentencing delayed for several months by demanding a mental evaluation.
In March 2018, Frederiksen faced Judge Johann Daffue, who said, ‘I have never felt so disgusted.’
The judge said Frederiksen was ‘manipulative’ and ‘lacking in remorse for his despicable crimes’.
‘You were the general and you orchestrated the murder,’ Judge Daffue said of the assassination of Anna Matseliso Molise, Frederiksen’s late wife.
It emerged that Frederiksen had been convicted in 2006 of weapons crimes in Denmark.
He’d then committed fraud in order to settle in South Africa.
