After reading about the Trans-Siberian train journey [‘Trans-Siberia: The Wrong Way Round’, Nov 2016, issue 171], I wanted to share our adventure, where we travelled as far as we could by train. We started in Exeter and, seven weeks and 17 trains later, arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. We travelled via Belgium, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Mongolia, China, with a side jaunt by ferry to Taiwan, and down through Vietnam! You meet so many fascinating people and see so much more along the way. I can’t wait to plan the next trip!
