Another popular stop-motion film is Isle of Dogs, directed by Wes Anderson, who also directed a film of Roald Dahl’s book Fantastic Mr. Fox. It’s set in Japan, in the fictional futuristic Megasaki City. After an outbreak of dog flu, the city’s mayor demands that all dogs be sent to Trash Island, a place that has been used for dumping rubbish. Twelve-year-old Atari Kobayashi embarks on a long journey to Trash Island in the hope of finding his beloved lost dog, Spots. There, he meets five dogs called Chief, Rex, King, Duke and Boss, who help Atari on his adventure across the island. Like Fantastic Mr. Fox, the film was made using puppets. To create the fur on the dog puppets, the crew used alpaca wool.…
