I hope you had a relaxing, rejuvenating break over Christmas and New Year. Isn’t it amazing how just a couple of weeks off can do so much for your body, mind and soul? One thing I reflected on over the holidays is that, while it’s important to plan for the future, it’s just as important to live in the now – so make sure you spend time living (and enjoying) today! The West Auckland organisation’s ethos encapsulates the objectives of the food-rescue movement, highlighting the paradox that sees people go hungry while perfectly good produce is thrown out every day. As much as we might try to control the world around us, life happens and things change.
