Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is the term given to a group of rare inherited disorders affecting the body’s connective tissue, which supports the skin, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, internal organs and bones. There are three main types: hypermobile EDS results in an increased range of joint movement and stretchy and fragile skin that cuts and bruises easily.
