SOLUTION HINTS: The key to solving this puzzle is to reflect on the rules that you can not go off of the picture and that you can not return to the same square. Using these two rules, you can then apply a process of elimination. To help keep track of things, one could make a table with the 8 colors along one axis and the 8 directions along the other. The objective of the puzzle is to fill a grid with digits (typically 1-9) in such a way that the sums of horizontal and vertical “clues” or numbers are achieved.
