A: PPI, which stands for proton pump inhibitor, is the pill you take when you’ve been told you have too much acid. But usually it’s a case of having too little – the symptoms are the same for both hyper- and hypo-acidity. Do teens pay attention to health warnings? When you’re young, you tend to feel immortal. So you’d think any dire warnings about how this or that affects your health might not make much of an impact.
