A CROOKED West Virginia cop has been sentenced to nearly six years in a federal pen for distributing heroin. Former Harrison County sheriff’s deputy Timothy Rock, 42, was found guilty in November of distributing heroin to confidential informants in 2016. According to trial testimony, Rock acquired the heroin from evidence lockers at a now-defunct street crimes and drug unit at the sheriff’s office. He also allowed informants to keep drugs bought while being monitored by law enforcement. Rock also violated rules about managing informants, tracking government funds, securing evidence and ensuring officer safety, evidence showed.
