Our smart, beautiful, beloved friend Alison was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. It was not an optimistic diagnosis. IN the UK, claims havess been made that FND as a disorder has been ‘brushed under the carpet’, and described as a ‘crisis for neurology’. Neuropsychiatrist Dr Anersha Pillay was the medical professional who finally diagnosed Zephné and put her on the road to recovery. She explains a little more about FND. Crisp duck à l'orange SERVES 4 • 4 duck breasts (200g each), fat scored• salt flakes• 2 mandarins, peeled and halved horizontally• 90g honey• 60ml (¼ cup) sherry vinegar• 80ml (⅓ cup) mandarin juice• 2 star anise pods• 1 cinnamon quill• 1 small sprig of bay leaves 1.
