The results show that only 450 of the 19,546 on-street chargers in council jurisdictions have adaptations for disabled drivers, in spite of the PAS 1899 accessibility standard launched in 2022. Eighteen months on, the reality is that just 238 (1.2 per cent) of public chargers identified in the survey conform to the Government-backed voluntary guidance, while only 105 (0.5 per cent) of the highlighted chargers are located in a disabled parking bay. So, here we are with the significantly updated Tesla, and once again that same M3-killer rhetoric is present. So, is the claim more accurate this time around? While the updated Model 3’s restrained aesthetic remains, there are lots of new details that give the car a more serious stance. CAPRIS used to be cheap and specialists were plentiful, but despite the car’s cult following, specialists are now few and far between, and values have skyrocketed. Prices start at £8,000 for a four-cylinder Capri Mk3 that’s usable but scruffy, and rise to £40k-£50k or more for mint sporting Mk1s, Brooklands and Tickfords. You can buy a decent 2.8i for £12k-£15k; just make sure that it’s not a tarted-up heap. Parts availability is generally poor when it comes to panels and trim, and some engine parts are scarce, although much of the rest is easy enough to source. IF, as with the majority of new-car buyers in the UK, you plan to take out a PCP finance deal on either of these cars, then it’s the Avenger that represents slightly better value for money. Using a £5,000 deposit to cover a 36-month agreement covering 10,000 miles a year, the Jeep comes to £274 a month, compared with £318 for the Skoda. MANUFACTURER discounts on electric cars are “unsustainable”, says the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. Latest data shows that the retail demand for EVs is still declining. UK car registration figures for May did offer a glimmer of hope, because EV sales in the retail sector only dropped by two per cent compared with May last year, while the retail sector overall fell 12.9 per cent. Ineos customisation service set to launch INEOS has announced the formation of a new Arcane Works programme that will allow buyers of the Grenadier 4x4 (above) the chance to personalise their SUV in a way not previously possible.
