Nintendo started making playing cards
In Kyoto, Japan, an artist called Fusajiro Yamauchi founded a company called Nintendo Koppai, making hand-painted playing cards. In the 1960s, Nintendo began to make board games, and from 1979, video games. By the 1980s the company was producing games consoles, including the handheld Game Boy.
