THE battle over soul icon Aretha Franklin’s $80 million fortune exploded with charges by her son Teddy Richards that the executor of her estate “naively” sold rights to her classic tune Think.
Teddy claims that Aretha’s niece Sabrina Owens stupidly gave Levi’s jeans rights to use the tune for a meager $25,000 — instead of its $200,000 worth — without investigating the value. Teddy, 55, who wants Sabrina booted from her executor gig, says she made the dumb deal without consulting him beforehand.
