Fit for the modern woman: From the austere romance of minimalist ruffles to softly sculpted shapes and reimagined suiting, the 2013 spring-summer collections offer elegance with plenty of flourish. Among the attitudes for which the French are known is their utter disdain for overt enthusiasm. Even the phrase they employ for "waiting for the show to begin"—faute de mieux—translates literally to "for the lack of something better."
