In brief, The Massey Manufacturing Company merged with A Harris, Son and Company in the 1890s to form Massey-Harris Limited. In 1953 it subsequently merged with Harry Ferguson Ltd. to become Massey-Harris-Ferguson, only taking on the new name, Massey Ferguson, on 19 November 1957. Massey Ferguson became part of AGCO in 1994.
