There is a creative couple behind the Thread Theory pattern company. Matt and Morgan Meredith, based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, design casual menswear staples supported by in-depth technique information. Their website, ThreadTheory.ca, has a clean aesthetic and curated sewing and knitting supplies and resources. It features a creative blog, sewalongs, and online tutorials to support their patterns and make menswear sewing easy and approachable. You can also purchase fabrics, vintage patterns, and sewing kits.
Morgan, who has a background in fashion design, designs all the patterns, writes and illustrates the instructions, and handles the day-to-day operations and creative aspects of the business. Matt does all of the photography, created and runs the website, and handles technical support. Threads spoke with Morgan about the couple’s business and inspiration.
