From 26 to 31 May, Europe’s biggest youth festival, the Urdd Eisteddfod, took place in Margam Park near Port Talbot, in South Wales.
Organised every year by Urdd Gobaith Cymru, a national youth organisation in Wales, the Welsh-language festival brings together young people aged from eight to 25 years old, and their families. Thousands of young people took part in the festival, entering more than 400 competitions including art, design and technology, poetry and playing musical instruments. This year there are new awards for acting, dancing, singing and musical theatre.
