The rail industry held a roundtable meeting with Minister for Exiting the EU David Jones and Rail Minister Paul Maynard on March 1, to discuss issues that will affect the sector when Britain leaves the European Union.
Board level representatives from train operators, suppliers and infrastructure providers attended the meeting, including Arriva, British Steel, Eurostar, FirstGroup, Freightliner, MTR, Network Rail, the Rail Delivery Group and Rail Freight Group.
Topics included market access, cross-border services, the supply chain, safety, technical standards, trade, customs, and research and innovation.
