On the face of it, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is simply a naked version of the Himalayan 450 but while the pair share the same 452cc Sherpa single, there's a revised frame, fresh geometry, new forks, different rim sizes, and more besides.
In short, it's a completely different proposition, taking similar styling cues to Ducati's short-lived Scrambler Sixty2, and becoming the natural rival to Triumph's £5195 Speed 400.
Prices start at just £4850 – with Enfield hoping the easy-going dimensions and circa 40bhp will tempt a new wave of young riders.
Despite the sub-£5k start point, you get a full-colour TFT dash with mobile connectivity and built-in satnav, riding modes and decent pillion accommodation, plus more than 20 official accessories available to make the bike your own.…
