Part 2 In part 1 of this article, published in knitscene Spring 2020, I talked about different construction methods for side-to-side sweaters. We then worked through knitting a side-to-side sweater and learned how to keep track of stitches and rows so that the two sides of the piece would be symmetrical. Now, in part 2, we’ll see how some fabrics behave differently when worked sideways, then we’ll see how to work through the math for a piece so that it matches the measurements on a schematic.
