With a heavy heart, I bid farewell to a loyal and faithful friend this month. No, not an adored pet, but a late 2015, 21.5-inch iMac. Ultimately, it was a wretched machine for which the memory couldn’t be upgraded, and one that has been running Monterey off an external HD for the past 12 months with decidedly wonky levels of success. But it has been my big screen go-to for email, internet and music and now, alas, it has reached the dreaded point of being un-upgradable.
