The blue, green and black Fairtrade logo was first launched 25 years ago, and there are now 4,500 products on shop shelves that meet the charity’s social, economic and environmental standards. More than 1.6 million producers of coffee, tea, cocoa, bananas, wine, flowers, cotton and other products worldwide benefit from Fairtrade. To mark the anniversary, from 4 October, Fairtrade communities around the globe will be throwing local parties and UK campaigners will be holding Make your Mark Count events.
