When longtime GH makeup artist Donna Messina passed away on December 6, not only was it a sad day in the soap’s makeup and hair department, but from the production offices to the crew on the set to the actors’ dressing rooms, everyone was affected. Weeks later, there was still a sadness throughout the studio. Messina had been nominated for a whopping 12 Daytime Emmy Awards, winning half of those (more than almost any actor on the soap).
