The perga colours exclusive give you the opportunity to create beautiful projects using a relatively simple technique. Colour Using yellow plus a small amount of yellow ochre and black oil-based blendable pencils, colour the head, body and legs of the bee. Use short flicking strokes for the body to look a little furry and work one shade slightly into the other. You will need Your basic tool kit plus: PCA Large, Medium and Micro Sun embossing tools Pergamano Plus Trace • Secure your plain parchment paper to the pattern and with your white pencil or mapping pen trace all the elements on the pattern. Emboss With a large and small ball tools emboss the outlines. With a sun tool emboss as shown in the pattern. With an extra small ball tool emboss within your semi-square perforations in the outline. Remove any visible pencil lines with an eraser. Perforate • With your 2-needle and semi-square perforating tools, perforate as shown on the pattern. Trace Place a piece of plain parchment paper over the pattern and secure in place. With a white pencil or white ink and mapping pen, trace the 3D flowers, square border, arch and water. With black fine liner pen, trace the rest of the image. Colour Working on the back of your work, with Polychromo pencils, colour as follows and blend with Dorso Oil. Colour the flower petals and watering can with dark cadmium orange. Colour the leaves with earth green yellowish (Step 1). Emboss With a 1mm embossing tool, emboss the outlines of the 3D flowers. With relevant sized embossing tools, shadow emboss the flower petals, working from the centres outwards, the leaves from the top downwards and the watering can according to the image With the Pergamano wheel…

To start Rub the reverse of plain parchment with a tumble dryer sheet. Attach the parchment over the pattern and secure in place with low-tack tape. Trace With a white pencil, or ink and mapping pen, trace the line around the outside of the pattern. With a sepia pen trace the ornamental frame around the central picture. To avoid blots, always clean out your nib before dipping back into the ink. Try to leave your work to rest for a day before going back to lightly emboss again. Work with your parchment still attached to the pattern to add in the position of the tool.
