WEDDING-DAY KILLER
On 23 October 1983, Basil and Avril Laitner had just celebrated the wedding of their daughter Suzanne at their home in Dore, Sheffield, when a stranger named Arthur Hutchinson, 42, broke in.
Hutchinson butchered Basil, 59, Avril, 55, and their son Richard, 28. The killer was on the run for 39 days before being captured.
In 1984, Hutchinson was found guilty of three murders and also of rape. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. Now 80, he will die in prison.
