Tall-rounders come in a variety of different specs and price points, so if you're on a budget there are ways to make these models more affordable.
The Versys 1100, for example, comes in three main versions: base, S, and SE. Starting at £11,899 for the intro model, then rising to £13,649 for the S, and £15,649 for the SE minus luggage. S extras include a larger adjustable screen, a TFT display, enhanced IMU functions, heated grips and hand covers, a quickshifter, and cornering lights.
In SE trim the Versys gets all that plus electronic suspension, and smartphone connectivity with voice command. Each level is available in three additional specs; standard, Tourer (2 × 28 litre panniers) or Grand Tourer (2 × 28 litre panniers plus a 47-litre topbox).
