In September 2007 I was honored to have an exhibition of 45 of my photographs, taken that year, of The Doors of San Miguel de Allende at the prestigious Winckelmann Museum in Stendal (near Berlin) Germany. About the Doors: The doors and walls fascinated me then, in 2007, and still do, from the moment I first walked down Sollano Avenue in the historic old section of San Miguel. Brilliant reds, muted orange, variations of blue, and striking yellows were painted on the surrounding walls framing the often deteriorating wooden doors.
